Light and quick-pointing, the H18 Protector Shotgun brings classic Henry lever-action handling to the versatile .410 bore. Low in recoil and report, these shotguns share the familiar manual of arms found across Henry’s rifle lineup for an instantly comfortable and intuitive feel.

These smoothbore shotguns are chambered for 2.5″ .410 shells only, enabling rapid cycling with a short-throw lever. Six-shot tube magazines may be loaded through the front of the tube and unloaded quickly without cycling shells through the action, while side loading gates allow the magazine to be topped off as needed. Visually, they carry a subdued classic appeal, with deeply blued steel, dark straight-grained American walnut furniture, pistol-grip wrists, checkering fore and aft, sling swivel studs, and a thick non-slip ventilated black rubber recoil pad.

The H18 Protector Shotgun offers a more compact configuration with a 20″ round cylinder-bore barrel, making it more suited for brush hunting with birdshot, defensive use with buckshot, or harvesting small deer with slugs. A semi-buckhorn rear sight adjustable for windage and elevation, paired with a brass bead front sight, allows for precise shooting. Slightly lighter than its 24″ counterpart, this shotgun is easier to carry in the field and more maneuverable in tight quarters. The adjustable sights allow shooters to fine-tune patterns for different shot loads and point of impact for slugs.

Both H18 models are excellent choices for introducing juniors to shotgunning without the deterrent of heavy recoil.
